18th or 19th Century Napoleonic Era Prisoner of War Carved Totemic

Available is this (what I believe to be from my research), an 18th or 19th Century Napoleonic Era Prisoner of War Carved Totemic Storage or Snuff Bottle. I'm not an expert in this area, but the designs have a Eurocentric theme and it looks like many of the carvings for which I could find images. The one unique thing is that it was obviously used to store something like snuff or another substance. It has the original wood cork at the top but the wood base piece appears to have disappeared over time.
It measures approximately 8" high and nearly 2" wide. It is curved as it likely came from stew and was and given to a prisoner to carve by a prison cook. Since prisoners were held captive, but not seen as threats, they were allowed to keep small carving knives to carve these items to pass the time during the French Revolution.
