1938? Vintage Heinz White Vinegar Glass Bottle w/ Rare Early Pickle Top Logo Cap FRESH ESTATE FIND! Selling the coolest old Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA Heinz bottle I’ve ever seen, which at first I thought held Catsup (or is it Ketchup?) - but upon a closer look was an old vinegar bottle instead. Bottle measures 10 inches tall, and features the classic octagonal bottle shape. Bottle is 1 pint size, or 16 ounces. This antique bottle features a three-part paper label, plus advertising on top of the old metal screw cap. Working down, the top reads “HEINZ PURE FOOD PRODUCTS.” The neck label wraps all the way around and reads “GUARANTEED PURE And to comply with all pure food laws throughout the world H. J. HEINZ COMPANY.” **The next label appears to be applied by mistake, as it seems to be their Catsup label** and reads “MADE FROM FRESH RIPE TOMATOES, SPICES, GRANULATED CANE SUGAR, PURE VINEGAR, ONIONS, SALT…” And lastly, the main label in that famous Heinz arrowhead shape, “HEINZ EST’D 1869 DISTILLED WHITE, VINEGAR FOR SALAD AND TABLE USE Made from corn, rye and barley malt. Heinz 57 pure food products…” Base is embossed “HEINZ CO 138” and something else I can’t quite make out. I believe 38 refers to 1938, but I know this bottle is from the 1930s Era given similar documented bottles which have sold here on Pricetronic by established collectors. Vintage preowned condition, some of the labels are missing bits and pieces as shown, the metal screw cap is rusted throughout, and the bottle is a little dirty. Selling as-is, no returns, so kindly ask before bidding if any questions. ***TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THOSE PHOTOS!
