20+ Queensland Bottle Tree Seeds (brachychiton rupestris) from Southern Calif This listing is for 20+ Queensland Bottle Tree (brachychiton rupestris) seeds. Also known as the Narrow-leaved Bottle Tree, it is native to the Queensland area of Australia; has low water needs, can be grown both in a pot or in the ground (with protection or in USDA zones 9 - 11) and is hardy in temperatures above 18 to 20 degrees. This tree can be grown as a bonsai or as a striking and unique addition in a low-water landscape and the seeds are relatively easy to sprout. Soak them for 48 hours in cool water before planting or place between damp paper towels until they begin to sprout and then plant them. I usually sprout these using the paper towel method and they sprout in about a week when kept moist and warm. Young trees have a narrow, straight trunk and narrow-dissected palmate leaves. As the tree matures, the stem swells and becomes bottle-shaped and the leaves broaden and turn from compound to simple. The leaves shown in the pictures are from a mature tree. A few extra seeds will be included, and they will be shipped in a cushioned envelope via USPS Ground Advantage . Note: These items are described and photographed as accurately as
possible, but please message me with any questions you may have. They are
sold as-is with no return and I don’t profit on the shipping; the calculated
shipping costs you see include all Pricetronic discounts. I charge a $1 handling
charge per listing to help cover the cost of boxes, envelopes and packing
materials. I ship same or next day, if possible, but list as shipping within
2 days due to sporadic required overnight travel. Sales tax will be added to your purchase as
laws require. Thank you for your interest!
