ANTIQUE BIXBY AQUA BLUE GLASS 4" TALL INK BOTTLE PATENTED MARCH 6, 1883

This auction is for an ANTIQUE BIXBY, AQUA BLUE GLASS, 4" TALL INK BOTTLE, PATENTED MARCH 6, 1883.  It is a bit smaller than a soda can, as shown in the 2nd photo.  The patent information reads:  Patented MCH 6, 83 on the front side.  The bottom has the BIXBY logo embossed on it.  The bottle has 2 seams, from the mold.  The top is made for a cork, and has some roughness >> not wear or chips, but is rolled from the manufacturing process.  There is a small "bruise" on the back side >> it is not chipped (no roughness) >> see last photo.
A nice old bottle >> looks great with some backlighting, like sitting on a window sill!
