I was told this large hand-blown jar is European 1800's and it was used as a preserving jar. I have no way to verify so please look at the pictures for your own conclusion. It has a green tint to it. An usual glass "5" mark is on the outside (see picture). Inside the rim is a long that is opened on the inside, smooth to the touch on the outside (last picture). The bottom goes into the jar, when you look inside it looks like a mountain peak. The item is in used antique condition and there are some age-related marks, scratches, wear and tear. Please be sure to check all photos as they are part of the description.Measures approx - Height - 12 1/2"Width - 6 1/4"inside Opening - 3 3/4" wideI will pay for the insurance on the package
