Item Description
A rare 1895 patent kerosene filler bottle or can by the Ohio Lantern Co. In overall good used condition with some internal residue. The wire mesh cover is in good with a few areas of bending or mild damage. It stands 12 ¼” tall to the top of the spout, stands 9” tall from top to bottom of the wire mesh cylinder, and it measures 7” in diameter. The small top filler cap removes easily. The large cap with the spout attached does not, not sure if it was meant to. These were used in the old days to regularly fill all of the household’s oil lamps and lanterns with kerosene. Not many of these old fragile wire mesh models have survived 100+ years as this one has. This one is unmarked.
