Apothecary Lavender Faceted Glass Antique Pharmacy Bottle With

~ From the personal collection of a retired physician ~ This offer is for an antique rounded, flared cylindrical-shaped, light purple or lavender clear glass pharmacy or apothecary jar with matching glass stopper and faceted neck area. It has two side mold seams which run from the bottom of the neck facets to the bottom of the jar. This piece has some substantial glass cracks (see images) so we have listed this at a very low price. One is a curving bow-shaped horizontal crack approximately 3.75" long which runs from about 2" to 2.5" above the base, between the side mold seams. On that same side of the jar, there are 2 vertical cracks in the lip/upper neck ring area (one of those extends about 3/8" down below the faceted area of the neck) which appear to have been patched in the ground glass area. The lid also has a curved crack on the inside which appears to have been patched, in the ground glass area, and 4 small chips on the top's outer lip edge. The jar measures approximately 7.75" tall and 4.25" in diameter at its widest point. The stopper/lid measures about 3.25" in diameter and 2.25" high (see attached images). With the lid seated on the jar, it measures about 9.5" tall. The weight of the two pieces is about 2 lbs 15 oz. prior to packing for shipment. The glass surface has some typical tiny nicks and pits, scratches and bubbles which are hard to notice. The exact age, manufacturer and country of origin are unknown, but it is clearly antique (Pre-1930). A great addition to your home decor, collection, or museum exhibit!
