This home decor/houseplant or landscape plant requires very little care. It's perfect for those who want to enjoy a houseplant with busy lifestyles. It's able to survive with little water, however, it does best if watered frequently. Other than providing a little water and some sunlight, it is a very low maintenance plant. Likes bright, indirect to bright light. This is a slow growing houseplant that can live for decades. It is drought tolerant... Do NOT overlove it with water as it stores water in the trunk. This is also known as the Dr. Suess plant and you may just want to run your fingers through them. It is not toxic to dogs, cats or people, in fact, it is common for cats to chew on the leaves. It is not a palm at all but rather a succulent. If the leaves droop, yellow or curl or brown, or if the trunk starts wrinkling, it needs water. This plant can live for decades if treated properly. Soak seed in water for 24 to 48 hours then put in seed starting soil and cover lightly.
