Old Lydia Pinkham's Vegetable Compound Unopened Bottle, Box &

Antique Lydia Pinkham's Compound Another great find here in Northern Maine!!  It's an old (1912) unopened 14 1/2 oz. bottle of Lydia Pinkham's Vegetable Compound.  The bottle is in excellent condition with the label intact, the box has a missing top and side flap, but the text is sharp and the color a little faded.  It also includes the original paperwork inside of the box.  The box reads... "For relieving certain symptoms associated with and cased by the Menopause (Change of Life) and as a uterine sedative in Painful Mensuration when not due to organic disease. For particulars, see the folder inside) Directions: One tablespoonful four times a day, before meals and at bedtime. Take Regularly through out the month. Shake bottle well before using." Great piece of apothecary history! (I am going to trust that you are going to know that you probably shouldn't actually ingest this year old medicine.) For display purposes ONLY!
