A 3 inch tall round clear antique salve or ointment jar that has an embossed picture of a Knight on a horse slaying a dragon (serpent) trade mark. Though this is the only one of these we've seen, there is a large amber bottle with this exact same embossing and picture on it, that is rumored to be from SACRAMENTO or SAN FRANCISCO CAL. This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand B lown I nto M old bottle ( BIM ) with a tooled top , dating it well back into the 1800's . Bottle embossed : " NONE GENUINE / WITHOUT THIS / TRADE / MARK " and in a small circle is the 'trade mark', a Knight on a horse with a sword and a dragon or serpent under the horses feet . Condition : Bottle is good condition. It has light wear and cloudy content stain, a bit of content haze but NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. (See photos for overall condition) . Age : An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE blown-glass bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800's . Shipping : FREE DOMESTIC shipping. We DO ship Internationally but we do NOT insure International orders UNLESS BUYER SPECIFICALLY REQUESTS THIS AND WE ARE ABLE to provide an insurance estimate. It is becoming increasingly difficult to insure international orders and the price can exceed the price of the item, which can negate the sale. If an international shipping charge is much more than the actual shipping cost, we will refund the excess so what YOU pay for shipping/insurance is very close to, if not exactly, the ACTUAL shipping costs! This is important for foreign buyers to know as most of our foreign shipping charges are estimates. We do not falsify information on the Customs Form, such as a price other than what the actual purchase price is, so please do not request us to do so. We ship several times a week and your prompt payment will hasten the turn-around time. This is about the smallest bottle we've seen with such a busy and highly detailed picture on it. As mentioned there is an AMBER bottle that is the same size and shape as a WARNER'S SAFE CURE and a bottle that looks just like the large KILMER'S SWAMP ROOT CURE , that both have this same 'NONE GENUINE' embossing. The examples that we've seen were said to be dug in California, but this little jar was dug in Montana. A labeled example would solve the mystery but from what we see, it appears to be western in origin. Any input would be appreciated, c heck it out! Terms of Sale : Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. We put our 30+ years of experience in antiques to use in describing every item we list. Items are sold in a store front format and your purchase is a binding contract, so please don't be hasty when looking over the listing.
