"Ever After," an Art Deco signed BACCARAT perfume bottle for PAQUIN, circa 1939-1940s, in clear crystal, with label, in elaborate bell-shaped wicker cage with music box base. The House of Paquin closed in the early ‘60s so finding examples of their fragrances is very rare. This particularly impossible-to-find vintage piece is intended to play "La Vie en Rose," as the bottle revolves; however, the music does not start up when the lid is opened; it does play a few notes when cage is moved or turned around as I photographed it. I am not sure if there is a wind-up function inside the base or not (and I did not want to try to open the bottom for fear I could break something). Original felt lining is in good condition, with some dust settled onto it. Wicker cage in excellent condition with no nicks or breakages that I can see. Bottle Stenciled “BOTTLE - BACCARAT - FRANCE - MADE IN FRANCE.” Bottle height is approx 3". This was acquired from a private estate sale in New Orleans, La. Bottle contains a portion of the perfume (see photos); I have not opened the bottle. Similar item sold for $529 in 2004 at an Auction House (source: Worthpoint). I believe this item was in production from 1939-1952. “Les Parfums de Paquin" Paquin of Paris, France, couture house of Jeanne Paquin, a very successful couturier, at 3 rue de la Paix, was established in 1890. The couture house closed in 1962. **This irreplaceable item will ship with additional insurance.** Message me with any questions; I will consider offers. Thank you for your interest, and good luck!
