Very Rare J.A.GILKA liquor bottle in a beautiful GREEN Promotional / Bartender only Color.
This early example has bold embossing on 5 sides - J.A.GILKA BERLIN / THIS BOTTLE / J.A.Gilka / NOT TO BE SOLD / Schutzen Str No 9
Bottom Crest Two Figures with bottle in middle.
Rectangle with wide corner bevels (or 8 sided)
10" Tall
Excellent shiny near mint condition with small chip on lip.
Bottle contained Gilka Kummel which was a popular German alcohol based liquor, much like bitters.
Green is a rare color for this bottle - all mass produced in Amber Glass. Green promotional and not for sale. Used, approximately 100 years old. RARE - Promotional Color of Green was NOT FOR SALE at the time. Shows some signs of age and has a chip on the lip of the bottle. See photos for exact condition.
