Here's a crude early pontiled blackglass ale or porter type bottle that we dug in an 1830s outhouse privy pit...no embossing....Hand blown in cylinder dip mold and pulled straight out, so there are no mold seams....sand pontil in sunken bottom....crude applied double ring collar....dark olive green blackglass....7 3/4"tall....Bottle has a crude natural lean to one side....Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage of any kind. A nice clean bottle outside. We didnt wash the inside so it still has some dirt inside. A great looking early blackglass bottle with the crude lean to one side!....
