Silver Seal Meadow Gold, Glass Milk bottle.
This Silver Seal Meadow Gold bottle is a product of the early milk bottles made by the Owens Automatic Bottle Machine (ABM).
If you look at the base of the bottle the large letters M G are separated by a small circular scar, called the Owen’s suction scar. Also on the base, you will see the distinctive trademark of a with On the left of the trademark is a two-digit number, 44identifying the plant where it was produced; On the right of the trademark is the number 7 the date indicator
The “cream top” design is very popular with collectors. It is nicely embossed SILVER SEAL MEADOW GOLD on one side and MTG patented March 17, 31 & ONE QUART LIQUID on the reverse side. Below the one-quart liquid embossing you will see PLEASE RETURN THIS BOTTLE, followed by small embossing SEALED followed by 1-11
The bottle is in good condition, with some cloudiness, highlighted by the cleverly designed, beveled edge cream top, free of cracks or chips. As always, carefully wrapped and shipped upon payment.
