This is an unusual "Codd Patent" marble stopper soda bottle from Philadelphia.... STANDARD MINERAL WATERS BRINTON & BROSIUS PHILADELPHIA all bold emb on front of bottle... B&B on bottom....hand blown in mold, bimal....applied tapered lip....round with pinched in sunken grooves at shoulder to hold the marble in the neck of bottle.....aqua...8 1/8"tall...Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage of any kind. A nice clean bottle. These Codd marble bottles are 99% of the time from the United Kingdom...very few bottlers in the U.S.A. used the Codd marble bottles because they required special expensive machinery and the bottles were also more expensive....
