Vintage 8 Square Quart Dairy Milk Bottle Steel Metal Wire Divided

Vintage 8  Square  Quart  Farm-Dairy Milk Bottle Carrier or Caddy made of  Steel / Metal Wire and is Divided   Dairy Name: Some farm dairy or another. Dairy Location: Someplace in northwestern Pennsylvania, no doubt. This carrier is one that I used in the 90s to bring bottles home from farm dairies and then return the bottles when empty to get another batch of full bottles to take home again. At some point the trips to the dairies ceased as farm dairies ceased operation. I no longer recall exactly which dairy supplied this carrier (not that it matters much). Capacity: This carrier was designed to hold 8 one-quart SQUARED style milk bottles in its divided compartments. With possible exceptions, the rounded style milk bottles are too fat to fit in the compartments. No bottles are included with the carrier even though one photo shows bottles to illustrate the point made about what kind of bottles fit. Dimensions: The crate measures over 11 1/2 inches tall, almost 15 inches long and almost 8 inches wide. The individual bottle compartments are somewhere around 3 1/2 inches square, but not exactly and are wider on one dimension than the other.   Carrier Condition: The carrier looks nice, but it has been used and shows wear from use. There are some light rust spots (brown and white). I did not wash this. Don't be surprised if I missed a little cobweb or two when I did a quick wipe-down. The heavy plastic handle-grip has some scuffs. I don't see any significant structural problems. The carrier is light-weight, yet solid. The carrier is probably made of galvanized steel, but I'm no expert on metals identification. The metal does attract a magnet. Please use the photos provided to assess condition. Zoom in for a close-up look! I don't think there is anything I can put in words that you can't see in the photos. Additional Comments: I can't guarantee that any particular bottle will fit in the carrier. Ask a question if there are any concerns. I can only guess at when the crate was manufactured. I've owned it since the early 1990s. This is a real nice item for displaying a portion of your milk bottle collection!
