Vintage Cherry Coke Bottle Cap, Coca Cola bottled by Chesterman Company out of Sioux City, Iowa 1990s
This has a pretty neat history as it is bottled by Chesterman Company an Independent bottler of Coca-Cola and supplies most of the Midwest market making them a huge player. They have been in business since 1872 predating Coke and definitely can be defined as an American Icon. They got this pretty sweet relationship by partnering early with Coca-Cola in 1904 to bottle their soda.
An interesting fact is they actually discontinued Coke for several years because it was so unsuccessful it looks like by 1919 bottling of Coke resumed which was obviously a pivotal moment for this company as they now serve almost 3 million people in the Midwest and employ over 1600.
