Vintage Coca-Cola Cooler with handle 1940s 40s Coke Bottle Opener and Drain Plug Nice Condition! Ice chest, picnic cooler. This is a cooler that my Dad's had around since he was a kid. His family took it with them on summer vacations and road trips in the 1950s and 60s. Both he and I were unsure of the cooler's exact vintage, but I received a kind message informing me that this is a 1940's airline cooler. So it has a slimmer design than the average cooler. Very interesting! It was made by the Progress Refrigerator Company in Louisville, KY. This cooler is 60+ years old, so please bear in mind that it's not going to be perfect. There are some flaws (chipped paint in many spots, the lid has a dent you can see in the photos, wear from time and use and the lid does shift a bit (you can see in the photos) even when the handle is up. With that said, in my opinion, I think the natural patina and imperfections give this piece added character and charm. :) This genuine vintage cooler, would make a wonderful addition to any Coca-Cola fan's collection of Coke memorabilia. It could also make a fabulous gift for any Coca-Cola fan! Measurements: 18"L x 9"W x 13"H (15" H with handles) Weighs: approximately 13 pounds If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message. Thank you so much for looking!
