Vintage Jenny Lind Purple Glass Bitters Bottle The Swedish Nightingale Wheaton
There are a few water spots on the bottle from rinsing, they are not flaws in the glass. This bottle is sooooo pretty, especially if you like purple. It is made my Wheaton (in New Jersey). The figure on the front is Jenny Lind, who was often referred to in history as "The Swedish Nightingale". She was a Swedish opera singer that lived from 1820-1887. The movie/play "The Greatest Showman" featured her character with P.T. Barnum and their relationship. This would be a nice piece to have if you are a follower of this movie or of Jenny Lind. The bottle was made in 1971 by Wheaton and is in great condition. Please review all pictures before purchasing.
