Watkins Trial Mark Bottle - Clear - Embossed Diamond Maker's Mark on

Up for sale is this bottle embossed as Watkins.  I have seen identical examples listed as containing linament (with opium) as some kind of quack medicine.  Also seen this bottle attributed to the late 1800's to early 1900's.  I don't know if any of that is true. The bottle is clear glass.  It measures about 8-1/2" tall and is about 3" x 1-3/4" at the base.  There are some striations and manufacturing flaws, most notably what looks like a chip near the top - see last photo.  The bottle is quite dirty inside, but could probably be cleaned by someone who knows how to clean bottles.  There is a diamond with what appears to be the numbers 3 and 4 inside incised on the bottom.  Thanks for looking.
